Manchester City Eyeing Real Madrid GoalKeeper

Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas has emerged as a shock candidate for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola is on the lookout for a new backup keeper following an injury to Claudio Bravo. The Chilean international ruptured his Achilles tendon in a training session and could be out for a long period.

Madrid roped in Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea this summer who is destined to be the first choice keeper so Navas could be on his way out to have more game time under his belt. The custodian has won a host of trophies including three back to back European titles with Los Blancos but his time at the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be up.

City are considering an emergency loan deal to replace Bravo and given Madrid’s current situation it shouldn’t be a problem for both the parties to agree on a deal. Transfer window in England expired on August 9 but the deal can still go through as clubs can bring in replacements for injured players.

The English club are yet to launch a formal bid but Navas would be more than happy to be a deputy to Ederson who had a fantastic first season with the Premier League Champions.
