Manchester City have missed out on signing FC Porto duo Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando after the two clubs couldn’t agree on a fee.
It had been suggested that Manuel Pellegrini’s side were going to offer just under £40million for the duo, but the Portuguese outfit want more near the £50m-region, which is something that City are not willing to meet.
Despite the deals breaking down, it is expected that City will go back in for both of them in the Summer and will be more likely to meet higher asking prices during that transfer window.
Mangala has been recently linked with Manchester United as well as Paris Saint-Germain, whilst Fernando has been monitored by Everton.
