Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has rejected all claims of signing any new goalkeeper to replace injured Claudio Bravo. The Chilean international ruptured his Achilles tendon in a training and he is set to be on the sidelines for a long period.
City brought back Aro Muric on an emergency basis, who was supposed to spend a season long loan at NAC Breda and the youngster is in line to play the second fiddle to Ederson.
The reigning Premier League champions have been linked with a number of keepers including Real Madrid shot stopper Keylor Navas but Guardiola has refuted all the possibilities. “No, from the beginning it was Aro, Aro. He was the option.
“We know him. Last season he trained with us all year. We loaned him because you know the second team isn’t a real competition and that’s why we want to see him every weekend play and play.

The extent of Bravo’s absence is yet to be known and he could be out for almost six months. The Spaniard went on to add, “The surgery was good and we’ll see [when Bravo is back].”
