Manchester United and Chelsea are both set to table bids for Arturo Vidal.
Juventus are rumoured to be willing to accept a cut price transfer for the Chile international.
And that price, of £24 million, could spark a bidding war between Manchester United and Chelsea.
Both clubs are keen to reshuffle their squads, with Louis Van Gaal already in talks with player’s agent.
Van Gaal’s Dutch side, fresh from their thrilling 5-1 win over Spain, face Chile next Monday, and Van Gaal was full of praise of the Juventus man.
“Chile have very dangerous players, I always wanted to buy Vidal when he was at Bayer Leverkusen but he went to Juventus,” admitted the Dutchman.
“I like a lot of Chile players and they always play an attacking style. It will be difficult for the Netherlands but we have confidence in the three games we have to play.”
