Former-United boss reckons club are still in the race
According to Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United should still be considered as title contenders, despite sitting 14-points behind league-leaders Arsenal, with just 16-games remaining.
The former-United boss, who retired in the Summer after winning yet another Premier League title, was speaking in an interview with BBC Sport and when questioned about United’s season, Sir Alex responded by claiming that they should never be ruled out if it’s still mathmatically possible.
“I’m not writing anyone off.” Ferguson said.
In the interview, the former-boss went on to compliment the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, but then stated that United are still their chasing.
When asked for a top-four prediction, Ferguson couldn’t pick.
Ferguson added: “I find it very difficult to pick the top four. I find it even more difficult to say who is going to win the league.”
