The Red Devils and The Blues are set to go head to head for Atletico Madrid hotshot Antoine Griezmann, this according to reports.
The 25-year-old French international is said to be a top target for incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, However, the Daily Mail report now Manchester United have just sent scouts out to watch him.
Griezmann has become well known as one of La Liga’s most lethal strikers since moving over to Atletico Madrid from Real Sociedad in 2014. He scored a steady 25 goals last season but has vastly improved his this campaign with 29 goals, and six assists, so far.
It is said Atletico do not want to sell their biggest star right now and any potential offer for the striker would likely cost of at least £60million.
Chelsea, However, Â cannot offer Champions League football next season, while Manchester United, depending on results, might be able to.
Griezmann is said to be very keen on testing himself over in the Premier League, although, some have argued that he may have some issue due to his height and weight which is 5ft 8in and nine stone.
