Manchester United are looking into the possibility of signing PSG defender Gregory van der Wiel as a replacement for Rafael Silva.
Reports suggest that Silva will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season and it was originally felt that Porto’s Danilo would take his place untill reports suggested that he may be on his way to Real Madrid.
Wiel, 27, is recognised as one of the best full-backs in football because of his overall tackling and crossing ability as well as his pace.
If the Dutchman decides to play for his fellow country man it is likely to cost Manchester United £9million pound.
