David Luiz has added fuel to the fire ahead of Chelsea’s second-leg tie with Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League by saying Jose Mourinho isn’t the special one in his eyes.
The Portuguese manager has been carrying around ‘The Special One’ nickname for all his managerial career, but with a return to Stamford Bridge looming, Luiz has stated that he isn’t the special one to him.
Luiz left Chelsea over the Summer in a deal worth £50million, and when talking about his return to London, he was very open about Mourinho and his managerial style.
Reports suggested that the Brazilian left Chelsea after falling out with Mourinho, but he has since rubbished those claims, however he has taken a cheeky dig at his former-boss ahead of Wednesday’s game.
‘He (Mourinho) is special for you, but not for me.
‘I had some great moments at Chelsea and won a lot of titles. I was very happy.
‘They are having a great season, defend well and have great players but above all I know my team. We will try to score there and play like we know how we can.
‘We will have a good game plan and implement it the best way possible to achieve a great performance. Both can still qualify.’
