Marc-Andre Ter Stegen identified as replacement

Manchester United will try to sign FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen should they lose David De Gea in the summer.

United are heavily expecting to lose the Spaniard after his proposed deal to the Bernabeu fell through at the last minute during the summer.

De Gea and Madrid have both made it clear they wanted the deal to happen, but due to paperwork being handed in late, the deal collapsed and the goalkeeper stayed at Old Trafford.

The ‘keeper then signed a new deal at United, but according to reports, a move to Real Madrid is still looking likely.

De Gea Replacement

If De Gea does leave United, they will turn to Ter Stegen, who is reportedly unhappy at the Nou Camp.

The German is currently playing second-fiddle to Claudio Bravo and he’s considering his future away from the club in order to further his career.

United aren’t the only Premier League side interested in Ter Stegen however, as Liverpool have previously shown interest.
