Manchester United are reportedly set to sign Everton left-back Leighton Baines in January for a fee estimated around £16million.
The Red Devils have failed to capture the Englishman for the last two Summer’s, under both Sir Alex Ferguson and David Moyes, but it now looks like they will be third time lucky as they look set to wrap up a deal in January.
Moyes offered his former-club a joint offer for both Marouane Fellaini and Baines, but The Toffees rejected that as they wanted more money, which left United with only capturing the Belgium midfielder.
It is expected that if Baines does join Old Trafford, current left-back Patrice Evra will leave the club and return to his homeland of France with AS Monaco interested.
