Manchester United are ready to hijack Arsenal’s deal for Villarreal defender, Gabriel Paulista.
It was revealed yesterday by Arsene Wenger that talks between the clubs are ongoing, and the Frenchman believes there is 50-50 chance of them securing the deal this window with the club keen on getting the price right first.
Paulista has a £15million release clause in his contract, but it’s believed that Arsenal want to get the price lowered a little bit before finalising the deal.
However, they may miss out on the Brazilian altogether as United look to hijack the deal.
The 24-year-old has been a rock for the La Liga outfit this season and is one of the main reasons behind their unbeaten run since November.
Money isn’t an issue for United either as they just came off spending £150million over the Summer and have already been reassured that more money is there if needed.
