Manchester United are willing to offer Juan Mata a brand new deal, according to reports.
United need to buckle up quickly as a number of players’ contract is set to expire at the end of this season. The Spaniard is set to be offered a new three year contract to extend his stay at the club till the 2021/22 season.
Mata arrived at the club on the deadline day as United paid a whopping £37m to bring the player from Chelsea on David Moyes’ insistence back in 2014. United went on to dismiss Moyes as the club was struggling under his tutelage but Mata has gone onto establish his credibility at the Old Trafford.
The arrival of Jose Mourinho put the Spaniard’s imminent future under danger as they didn’t seem to have a cordial relationship during their time together at Chelsea.
But Mourinho has managed to get the best out of the player on a number of occasions and seems to be happy with the player’s involvement. Mata will be free to negotiate terms with any other European club in January and the Red Devils would be hoping to seal his signature before the year end.
