Manchester United youngster Adnan Januzaj has ended all speculation about his future by penning a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been stealing the headlines in the last few weeks after his match-winning brace against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and many people were suggesting that he could be leaving club this Summer on a free transfer as his contract was set to expire.
However, United quickly moved to change that and have now rewarded him with a new long-term contract that will see him stay at the club until 2018.
“It’s a great thrill to be able to sign for Manchester United,” the Belgium-born player told the club’s website.
“It’s like a dream,” added Januzaj, who excelled in United’s youth and reserve teams after joining as a 16-year-old. “Since arriving here I have always felt like this was the right club for me.”
