Kostas Manolas has revealed why he rejected Arsenal in favour of a move to Roma.
The Greek defender was poised to sign for Arsenal from Olympiakos following an impressive World Cup finals in Brazil, however made the decision to move to the Italian capital.
However, 23 year-old Manolas denied he was ever close to a moveand even rejected a move to last seasons Serie A winners Juventus.
He said: “It’s true, Juventus sought me out after the World Cup.
“I could also have ended up at Arsenal. But I never went to London, as it was reported.
“Now, for me, there is only Roma. I’m very happy to have come here.”
