Leicester City winger Marc Albrighton has put pen to paper to a long term contract extending his stay at the club till 2022.

The 29 year old was signed from Aston Villa and took very little time to adjust at the King Power stadium. The 29 year old played a pivotal part in the Foxes’ famous Premier League triumph back in 2016.

Despite a number of managerial changes the 29 year old has managed to keep his place in the side irrespective of the surroundings. He hasn’t had a fruitful time on the pitch so far as he racked up just two goals and three assists so far.

The wide man sounds pretty happy after signing the extension. “It was totally straight forward. Leicester offered me a deal and I was always going to sign it.

“I’ve had some good times here and hopefully I can continue to do so.

“When I first signed, I looked at the squad that was in the dressing room and the club itself in terms of its fanbase and what sort of club it was.

“It was a family club back then and it’s a family club now. It’s something that suits me down to the ground. It really fit in well with me as a person and it’s the perfect fit for me.”
