Marco Silva believes Everton would be ready to pay any amount if they are to sign Andre Gomes on a permanent deal.
Silva brought Gomes from Barcelona in the summer to bolster his midfield and the midfielder has been pretty impressive this season. Since recovering from an injury the Portuguese international has settled into life pretty easily in the Premier League and has been a permanent fixture in the Everton midfield.
The 25 year old endured a difficult season at Barcelona and the arrival of Arthur further had put a big question on his long term future at the club. The Everton move came at the right time and he might be able to resurrect his career at Goodison Park.
Silva has hinted he is interested in making a permanent switch for the player. “About Andre we are really happy with him.
“I know him very well, I’ve followed his career since he first started to play at Benfica.
“He’s a fantastic football player with a fantastic character as well. He’s a very good professional.
“Of course last season wasn’t the best with him. It’s important for everyone to understand when he started playing with us he hadn’t played for 90 minutes for maybe four or five months.
“I don’t have doubts about his value. He’s a high quality player and anything we can to sign someone like him will be important for us.
“Let’s see in the future what we can do.”
