Wolves and Port Vale could be potential destinations
Mario Balotelli is considering shock moves to Wolves and Port Vale before the end of this transfer window.
The Italian striker is understood to have absolutely no future at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, and could drop into the Football League to end his Anfield nightmare.
It is thought that the lower league clubs, should they be willing to pay his wages, would be willing to take a gamble on the former Italian international.
It’s thought that the inspiration to look for opportunities outside of the Premier League came from Jose Mourinho, whom Balotelli played under at Inter Milan.
Wolves want a new striker as part of the Chinese revolution under new owners Fosun and Mourinho has a connection at Molineux, where super-agent Jorge Mendes has been recruiting players from Portugal to work under new boss Walter Zenga.
The Italy striker spent last season on loan at AC Milan and has been trying to find a new club for the coming season.
He was linked with a move to Turkey, back to Italy and to the Chinese Super League but has so far failed to agree a move.
Wolves, now rich with investment from China, are thought to be in the mix for his signature.
