Liverpool striker rejects move away

Liverpool star Mario Balotelli has rejected a chance to join a Middle East side, according to reports.

The Italian striker was approached by Dubai-based Al Ahli, but he turned down their offer because he doesn’t want to move out to the Middle East at this stage of his career.

Balotelli is expected to play a small role in Liverpool‘s first-team this season due to the arrivals of Danny Ings and Christian Benteke, as well as the return of Divock Origi from a loan-spell and Daniel Sturridge from an injury.

Dubai Interest

Brendan Rodgers is desperate to offload the former-AC Milan star, and the Dubai-based outfit has confirmed that they held talks with the striker’s representatives, but they rejected the chance to move.

“We thought about Balotelli and we even had a discussion with his agent Mino Raiola,” said Olaroiu. “But Balotelli turned down our proposal because he wants to play for another.”

The Italian international has been forced to train alone and away from the rest of the squad.
