Wins for City, Arsenal, United and Chelsea predicted

With the Boxing Day schedule done with, it is more Premier League football just two days later with yet another full weeked of top-flight football, and here are Mark Lawrenson’s predictions.

WEST HAM 2-1 WEST BROMWICH ALBION

“I am convinced Allardyce will turn their form around. He just needs a win and I think he will get it against West Brom, who are still without a manager.”

ASTON VILLA 2-0 SWANSEA CITY

“I am backing Villa to get back to winning ways this weekend.”

HULL CITY 1-1 FULHAM

“They should give Hull a good game, although the Tigers are probably still wondering how they did not get anything out of their match with Manchester United on Boxing Day.”

MANCHESTER CITY 3-0 CRYSTAL PALACE

“City have won nine and drawn one of their last 10 games in all competitions, and won all nine games at home in the league this season. I cannot see Palace from stopping their run.”

NORWICH CITY 0-2 MANCHESTER UNITED
“Hughton’s side beat Manchester United at Carrow Road last season but I do not see them repeating that result this time.”
CARDIFF CITY 1-1 SUNDERLAND
“This is a huge game for both teams. Sunderland got a big win against Everton, which might end up being a turning point in their season.”
EVERTON 1-1 SOUTHAMPTON
“This is an excellent campaign for Everton although they might have another little hiccup on Sunday, because Southampton have had their bad spell and they look full of goals again.”
NEWCASTLE UNITED 0-2 ARSENAL
“This is another test for Arsenal, who are without the injured Aaron Ramsey, but I still think they are comfortable in these kind of games. Against the likes of Newcastle, I would always back them to win.”
CHELSEA 2-0 LIVERPOOL
“From what he has been saying, Blues boss Jose Mourinho is clearly not particularly enamoured with his side but he must realise that they keep winning games, keep chipping away, and keep getting some really good results.”
TOTTENHAM 2-0 STOKE CITY
“It was just one of those games that they just need to forget and move on. They will have a point to prove at White Hart Lane but I cannot see them stopping Spurs.”
