Fellaini’s contract expires at the end of the season

Since arriving at Manchester United, Marouane Fellaini has failed to established himself as a regular starter for the club. He is often used as an impact sub by the previous and current manager.

The 30 year old was very close to leaving last summer for Turkish club Galatasaray but Jose Mourinho rejected the offer. He wanted the midfielder to stay at least for one more season.

Fellaini has struggled this season for game time as there is lots of competition in the midfield. With his contract expiring at the end of the season and yet no talks of potential contract extension, he is expected to leave on a free transfer after five years with the club.

And there are host of clubs interested in his signature. Fellaini is being pursued by six teams as his contract at Old Trafford winds down, reports the Mirror .

Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Besiktas, Monaco, West Ham and Leciester City all hope to secure the Belgian international’s signature on a free this summer.

PSG and Juventus are considered the favorites as Fellaini prefers a move to abroad. But David Moyes’ dreams of a reunion with him may be undermined by the uncertainty in his status for next season.
