Striker is wanted by Arsenal and Manchester City
Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester City will have to rely on Mauro Icardi’s wife if they want to land the Argentinian in the summer.
According to reports in Italy, the Inter Milan star won’t have the final say on his career move, as his wife is the one that will decide where he moves if he does in fact leave the San Siro.
Icardi was made Inter captain ahead of this season by Roberto Mancini, as the Italian aims to keep the striker at the club, but with both Arsenal and City desperate to land the 22-year-old, he could be persuaded by the Premier League lure.
Both English clubs were interested in Icardi over the summer, but the striker snubbed a chance to leave Italy and remained at Inter.
Icardi Ready for Move?
However, after more speculation, the Argentine could be set to complete a switch next summer, with his wife ultimately making the decision for him.
Reports in Italy suggest that a proposed deal to leave Inter is already in the works, but it’s not yet decided where he will go, but it’s thought to be between Arsenal and City.
City may be in pole position however due to their Argentine contingency in the dressing room.
