Arsenal, Everton and Leicester City tried to sign AC Milan forward M’Baye Niang, the player has admitted.

The 21-year-old has already scored five goals this season and has admitted that both Arsenal and Everton tried to sign him before his move to AC Milan in 2012.

Niang most recently rejected a £16milion bid from current Premier League winners Leicester City in January, but the France U21 international is adamant that he wants to play in the Premier League in the future.

In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Niang said: “The Premier League could’ve been the right football for me and I hope one day it will be.

“Playing there is my dream as it suits my style of play.

“I could’ve been there twice already. The first was when I chose Milan, even if Caen had already accepted offers from Arsenal and Everton [in 2012].

“The second was in January, two or three days before the derby [against Inter Milan].

“My agent called and said Leicester had made an offer to Milan, but the club didn’t want me to go.” he added.
