Gunners plan to keep stars in North-London
Arsenal are set to begin talks with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez over new deals in the near future.
Both players have 2 years remaining on their current deals but are both eager to stay at the club beyond that expiry date.
Ozil arrived at Arsenal in 2013 from Real Madrid in a deal worth £42.5million and has made more than 100 appearances for the club since.
He has also won the FA Cup twice but the Gunners haven’t won the league for 12 years.
Sanchez meanwhile signed a year later from Barcelona for £31.7m but has already appeared 96 times for the club.
And now Wenger has revealed that the Gunners will go about attempting to secure the long-term futures of both players in the coming weeks.
“Ozil and Sanchez, we will start to talk for their extensions,” Wenger said.
The news will come as a relief to fans worried about losing either or both players in the next 24 months.
