Roy Hodgson has revealed his latest England squad, with the World Cup just over 100 days away.

Although there have been call-ups for the likes of Luka Shaw and Raheem Sterling, there is no place in the contingent for Hull’s Tom Huddlestone.

The former Tottenham playmaker started the season in strong form for Steve Bruce’s men, but has not been as impressive in recent weeks.

Despite this, Maxine Huddlestone, Tom’s mother, has vented her frustration on Twitter over her son’s exclusion tweeting:

“Same old..Same old..Pick players who dont get a start for their clubs”

Mrs Huddlestone tweeted her own annoyance, before retweeting comments elsewhere about Steven Caulker and Tom Cleverley’s inclusion.

Huddlestone has four England caps from his time at Tottenham, but has not been in the running since his transfer in the summer.

With the amount of central midfielders at Hodgson’s disposal, the Hull man seems unlikely to be boarding the plane to Brazil this summer
