Mikel Arteta claims players would be very arrogant if they undervalue Carabao Cup.

The Gunners will be travelling to West London to face West Ham United in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup clash.

The FA Cup win in 2020 remains the only major trophy of Mikel Arteta’s tenure to date.

Arsenal haven’t won the Carabao Cup in 30 years and would want to progress to the next stage of the competition.

Manager Mikel Arteta claims matches in the League Cup should be given equal importance to any match Arsenal would play this campaign.

He has warned his players that they should treat tonight’s game as a top priority like other competitions.

‘I don’t think I have three World Cup winners in the squad that can think like this about the Carabao Cup,’ he said.

‘I might be wrong, but I don’t think anyone can think like that. I think that would be very, very arrogant.

‘I don’t know if we can convince them (the fans). If you ask about what the priority would be, it wouldn’t be the Carabao Cup for sure..’
