Jose Mourinho has doubted the probability of Chelsea signing anyone in the January transfer window, but refused to rule out any new faces.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s midweek European fixture against Maribor, for which they will be without the injured Diego Costa, Mourinho was coy about whether they would be signing anyone.
“We do not like to think about it (the window). There is a long time to go with November and December. Hopefully we don’t need it and don’t have problems. The window is there for people in trouble, for whatever reason, to cope with a difficult moment. Hopefully we do not need it.”
Chelsea also head in to the tie with fitness doubts over midfielders Andre Schurrle and Jon Obi Mikel as well as the persistent hamstring trouble of Costa.
