Jose Mourinho has admitted he is keeping huge secrets from his wife Tilda- the thousands of pounds he has been fined from misconduct charges.
Last season alone he was forced to pay £26,000 for his attitude towards referees at both Cardiff and Aston Villa.But he said: “The club pay the fine and it comes out of my wages. My wife doesn’t know! She doesn’t care about football.”
And he warned his outspoken behaviour is not going to stop if he feels it is for the benefit of the English game.
“I am the manager of one of the most important teams in the country,” he said. “It is my duty to try to do things for this football country.
“If you tell me it would be better to shut up and not make any comment about the fixtures, for example – I would say yes, that is a comfortable and probably clever position in the modern world. But I think it is my duty to do it.”
He added: “And when referees make poor decisions against my team I will say. Last season I tried to be sarcastic, but polite, never bringing the game into disrepute, or saying the referee wanted to cost us the title. I did this in a very simple way, but without legal reasons I was punished.”
