Filipe has struggled to make an impression so far in England

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted he would be willing to let Filipe Luis leave for Atletico Madrid.

The 29 year old signed for Chelsea from the Spanish club last summer for £15 million.

But he had to play second fiddle to Mourinho’s first choice left back, Cesar Azpilicueta last season, and if Luis is to stay at Stamford Bridge, the situation is likely to continue.

He made just 13 Premier League appearances last campaign

The Brazil international is eager to play regular first team football, and has been heavily linked all transfer window with rejoining Atletico, where he won the La Liga title in 2013/14.

Mourinho has said that he would consider offloading the player, but only for the right price.

The Portuguese said: “If Atletico Madrid want him back then they have to pay and we have to discuss the offer.

“If he leaves then we have to react and we have to go in the market [and find a replacement].”
