David Moyes has admitted that his side do not deserve to claim a Champions League spot at the end of this current season.
The Red Devils are currently 11 points behind Liverpool in 7th, and face an uphill task to qualify for either European competition.
United boss Moyes admitted in his interview that his side were not good enough, and stated….
At the moment it’s still a long way away,” said Moyes. “We’re well off the pace to reach it, but we have to keep going, win and hope that teams slip up. That’s all we can do.”
It’s something I’ve not really considered because my focus is trying to finish in the Champions League. If I don’t, then I’ll answer your questions when I get that.
“At the moment I have to focus on the Champions League. The one thing about football is you can’t guarantee you’ll be at the top.
“You have to earn that right to be there. We’ll have to earn that right. We haven’t earned that right to be at the top this season and have to do better.”
Manchester United travel to Cystal Palace in a live televised fixture this evening.
