Giggs, who has recently turned 40, has made 953 appearances for Manchester United since making his debut back in 1991.

Since then, Giggs has enjoyed massive amounts of success under Sir Alex Ferguson, winning 13 Premier League titles, 2 Champions Leagues, 4 FA cups and 4 league cups over his 22 year career.

Moyes said “He’s undoubtedly at the top because of his longevity and the time that he has played for just one club.”

Former team-mate and now current Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has echoed Moyes’ statement: “I would suggest that Ryan is the legend of the Premier League, given the amount of success he has had, the impact he has had and the longevity he has had,”

Giggs was part of an exceptional group of players in United’s sqaud dubbed ‘The class of ’92’ and has continued to shine ever since his debut.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also hailed the quality of Giggs: “Maybe he is like a good Bordeaux (wine). He gets better as he gets older.”
