Nathan Ake on brink of Chelsea exit

Chelsea are set to loan-out starlet, Nathan Ake, with Turkish side, Besiktas, preparing an offer.

The 19-year-old has been on the fringes of the Chelsea first-team for the past couple of seasons, but with John Terry still in the form of his career, first-team opportunities have been limited for the centre-back.

As well as Terry’s form, Ake has to compete with Kurt Zouma, who is also a young defender up-and-coming at Stamford Bridge, and with competition fierce in West London, it could see the Dutchman pushed out of the cub.

According to reports, Besiktas, who signed Demba Ba from Chelsea over the Summer, want the deal to be a permanent one, but The Blues’ officials are not willing to lose the starlet on a permanent basis.

The Turkish side have a solid relationship with Chelsea and have already been linked with several Blues faces, and when asked about potentially doing business with the Premier League leaders, a Besiktas official admitted it could happen.

“We have a very good relationship with Chelsea. Will we do business with them in January? Why not?”
