Serbian centre back Nemanja Vidic was full of praise for new club Inter Milan, as he was unveiled to the media today after joining the club as a free agent.

The defender, 32, who left Manchester United after eight years at the club, and won a Champions League and five Premier League titles to name just a few of his accolades, was full of praise for his new side, where he joins the likes of Samir Handanovic, Diego Milito and Fredy Guarin.

‘I should have arrived to Italy many years ago, finally I have the opportunity to play here. Italian football suits my game well and, as I said, I have joined one of the big European clubs’.

Vidic has signed a 3 year contract at the Italian club, with reports indicating that he may be handed the captain’s armband.
