Goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has admitted that moving to England in order to play for Arsenal is a dream come true.

The Italian shot-stopped, who’s parent club is Palermo, completed a loan-move to the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day and during an interview with the club’s official website, he was full of praise for the club and also for English football.

Arsene Wenger sees Viviano as serious competition for both Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski, as the race for the number-one jersey hots up.

After completing the move from Italy to England, Viviano admitted that the decision to make the move, was a simple one.

“It feels good [to sign for Arsenal], it is a dream for me,” Viviano told Arsenal Player. “I am proud to be here and I want to say thank you to the boss [Arsène Wenger].

“It is easy [to choose Arsenal], it is one of the best clubs in the world. It is a club with a fantastic story, with a boss who is one of the best in Europe and for me it is a dream. It is special.

“I think it is a good thing that there are other great goalkeepers here. It is a positive fight. We are at work every day together and I am sure there will be great friendship.

“I know Fabianski has been a little bit unlucky last year with some injuries. I always see Szczesny play and he is a good goalkeeper, a great goalkeeper. I will work hard with them to [compete].”
