- Arsenal’s pursuit of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain looks set to rumble for another few days after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez revealed that the London club are yet to make an offer for the player
- Higuain who has told Spanish media that he wants away from the Bernabeu, was reported to be on the verge of a £23 million move to the Emirates Stadium last week but Perez dissmissed the notion that Higuain is close to agreeing any deal.
- “We don’t want Higuain to leave,” he told Univision.
- “What’s more, no-one from Arsenal has come to us and made us any offers at all for him. There are no offers on the table.”
- Arsenal also made an enquiry this week about Luis Suarez and according to reports, has made an £30m offer but it was denied.
