No home for Torres?

Jose Mourinho has denied any claims the he plans to bring back Torres back to Stamford Bridge, stating there is no room in his squad.

“That’s an impossible picture,” Mourinho said of a loan return.

“He’s on loan for two seasons at AC Milan. We have no space. We have no space for players in our list either in the Champions League or in the Premier League.

“But I have to say that nobody from AC Milan made contact with us thinking about that possibility.”

Torres looks very likely to officially come off Chelsea’s books if Milan lose patience with their failing loan.

Since arriving at the San Siro Torres has scored only just one goal in 10 appearances, and starting just seven of those games.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are reportedly in for their former captain and would snap at a chance of signing him on a free or on loan, despite his large wages.

However, Mourinho hinted Torres may stay in Italy, stating: “Probably nothing is true. And more than possible he is happy at Milan.”
