Arsenal and Tottenham will lock horns at the Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. This means that the number of North London derbies this season has risen to three. The Carabao Cup clash between Arsenal and Tottenham will take place on December 19, 17 days after both sides play a Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium.
The quarter-final draw of the Carabao Cup took place last night. The winners of the Manchester City-Fulham match and the Leicester City Southampton match will play each other in the quarter-finals. Manchester City take on Fulham today while there’s no confirmed date about Leicester City’s match against Southampton.
Chelsea who defeated Derby County last night, will take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge just like they did last season. That time, Chelsea won 2-1 thanks to a stoppage time goal from Alvaro Morata.
The other quarter-final fixture is between Middlesbrough and Burton Albion on December 18. Middlesbrough qualified by beating Crystal Palace 1-0 while League One side Burton Albion defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2.
