Several moves have happened the past few days in world football.

Here is a recap on all of them.

Premier League official transfers

Pepe Reina (loan, from AC Milan to Aston Villa)

Experienced Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina has signed a six-month loan deal with Aston Villa, as his contract with AC Milan runs to June 2021. The Serie A side confirmed the former Liverpool stopper has returned to the Premier League following a six-year absence after Villa’s number one Tom Heaton was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

“We have managed to secure a player in Pepe who has a wealth of Premier League experience,” Villa manager Dean Smith told the club website. “At the start of the summer we were looking for an experienced goalkeeper and brought in Tom Heaton. Unfortunately, his injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season, but Pepe fits our criteria not just because of his experience, but also because of his leadership qualities.”

Lukas Rupp (€500k, from Hoffenheim to Norwich)

Norwich have signed Hoffenheim midfielder Lukas Rupp on Monday. German Rupp has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Premier League strugglers as manager Daniel Farke returned to the Bundesliga for his side’s second signing of the January transfer window.

Rupp, who has made seven league appearances for Hoffenheim this season, told Norwich’s website: “I was in the training camp in Marbella with Hoffenheim and then two days later I am here, so it’s been very quick. But I am very happy to be here. It is a childhood dream. I was in the Bundesliga for 10 years now and it is a new chapter for me. I wanted to be part of the team here and help the team stay in the Premier League.”

Ignacio Pussetto (€8m, from Udinese to Watford)

Watford have a new signing in winger Ignacio Pussetto, who will stick with the Hornets until June 2024, after Udinese accepted an offer of €8 million. The Argetine had his medical at the Vicarage Road today before signing a four year contract.

He departs the Friuli side after 12 appearances this term after the English side has agreed to reimburse them the exact amount Udinese paid for his services from Huracan in July 2018. Pussetto has played 50 games for the Zebrette contributing five goals and five assists in his short spell with the Bianconeri.

Konstantinos Mavropanos (loan, from Arsenal to Nurnberg)

Arsenal defender Konstantinos Mavropanos has joined second-tier German side Nurnberg on loan until the end of the season. Mavropanos has made just one appearance so far this season, with competition and injuries playing their part in keeping him out of the side. He will now look to earn more game-time at Nurnberg, who sit 16th in 2.Bundesliga, after it was revealed the club had initially made a move for the Greece Under-21 international in the summer.

“Konstantinos is a robust central defender and is strong in headers,” Nurnberg sporting director Rober Palikuca told the club’s official website. “We had already aimed for a loan in the summer but due to the rehab after his injury, it would not have made sense six months ago. We would like to expressly thank Arsenal for the good exchange and the trust that the club has placed in us.”

Serie A official transfers

Fabio Borini (free, from AC Milan to Hellas Verona)

Fabio Borini has left AC Milan to sign for Hellas Verona, both Serie A clubs announced on Tuesday. In a statement, Verona said former Liverpool and Chelsea forward Borini had signed a deal until the end of the current season, with neither club providing details of the contract.

Borini began his professional career at Chelsea after the Blues signed him from Bologna as a youth prospect. The 28-year-old went on to play 111 times in the Premier League for the London club, Liverpool and Sunderland, scoring 16 times. He left Sunderland in 2017 for Milan, where he made 75 appearances in all competitions and scored eight times.

Simon Skrabb (€2.8m, from Norrkoping to Brescia)

Brescia have officially signed Finland international centre-forward Simon Skrabb from IFK Norrkoping, the club announced Tuesday. The deal had been done already earlier this month, but was delayed by reported disagreements over how much commission his agent wanted. He has signed a contract with Brescia until June 2023.

Skrabb turns 25 at the end of this week and has 12 senior caps for Finland, without scoring a goal. His previous clubs are FF Jaro, Atvidaberg and Gefle, joining Norrkoping in January 2017.

Asmir Begovic (loan, from Bournemouth to AC Milan)

AC Milan have been very busy up until now, as they have also completed the signing of goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on loan from Bournemouth. He will act as back-up for Gianluigi Donnarumma, replacing Pepe Reina after he departed for Aston Villa on Monday night. Begovic joins on a six-month deal until the end of the campaign.

Having fallen out of favour at the Cherries, the 32-year-old spent the opening half of the season on loan at Qarabag in Azerbaijan. In total, he has made 62 appearances for Bournemouth in the league after arriving in 2017 from Chelsea.

Simon Kjaer (loan, from Sevilla to AC Milan)

The Rossoneri also confirmed the signing of Danish international Simon Kjaer on loan from La Liga side Sevilla until the end of 2019-2020 season, with an option to buy. Kjaer previously joined another Italian Serie A team Atalanta on loan from Sevilla at the beginning of this season but the 30-year-old center back ended his contract with Atalanta.

”Simon Kjaer has terminated his loan deal with Italian side Atalanta BC, and has now joined AC Milan on loan. The deal includes an option to buy the Danish centre-half at the end of the season,” Sevilla said in a statement on their website. The former Fenerbahce defender had only played six matches for Atalanta in the first half of this season.

Bryan Dabo (loan, from Fiorentina to SPAL)

Fiorentina announced yesterday that Bryan Dabo has been loaned to SPAL for the remainder of the year, with the Estensi given the option to purchase him outright for an unknown sum in June. The Burkinabe international has already chosen his beloved number 14.

The deal comes a day after the teams faced off in Serie A with Fiorentina securing a 1-0 win at home. Dabo was not named in the matchday squad and has found it hard to break into Fiorentina’s first-team this season.

Jasmin Kurtic (loan, from SPAL to Parma)

Slovenia international Jasmin Kurtic has signed for Parma from SPAL, as a replacement for Dabo, the Serie A club announced. The midfielder, who turned 31 on Friday, signed a loan deal with Parma until the end of the season which will then turn into a permanent transfer, with his contract running until June 30, 2023. The deal is reported to be worth €3.5 million.

Kurtic, who has played 58 times for Slovenia, moved to Italy in 2011 and has also previously played for Sassuolo, Torino, Fiorentina and Atalanta. Kurtic joined SPAL in January 2018 after three seasons with Atalanta, helping the team stay in the top flight with a 13th-placed finish.

La Liga official transfers

Víctor Camarasa (loan, from Real Betis to Alaves)

Crystal Palace have ended Spanish midfielder Victor Camarasa’s short loan spell and he has joined La Liga side Deportivo Alaves, the club has announced. Camarasa who joined Palace for a loan, struggled to make an impact in the team after making one appearance in the Premier League and came off the bench in the side’s 4-0 defeat by Tottenham when he only featured for five minutes.

The 25-year-old was expected to remain at Selhurst Park until the summer after joining on a season-long loan in August, but he struggled for game time under manager Roy Hodgson. Camarasa was recently absent with a calf strain but has now joined La Liga side Alaves on loan until the end of the season.

Bundesliga official transfers

Nathaniel Phillips (loan, from Lvierpool to Stuttgart)

Liverpool youngster Nathaniel Phillips has returned to German side Stuttgart on loan until the end of the season. Phillips had been with the Mercedes-Benz-Arena side at the start of the campaign but returned to Anfield earlier this month to take part in Liverpool’s FA Cup third round clash with Everton.

But following that win, the club have opted to allow the 22-year-old to go back to Die Roten until May. An official statement from Liverpool read: “Nathaniel Phillips has returned to Stuttgart on loan until the end of the season. The Liverpool centre-back initially joined the German side on a temporary basis in August; however, he was recalled to the Reds at the start of January.”

Eredivisie official transfers

Jeroen Zoet (loan, from PSV to Utrecht)

Zoet has officially left PSV on loan to join another Eredivisie side, Utrecht. Having started his career at PSV Eindhoven, Zoet previously played two seasons on loan for Waalwijk before returning to PSV to establish himself as the first choice goalkeeper.

He has been highly regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Eredivisie. However, he has fallen down the pecking order this season as coach Ernest Faber prefers Lars Unnerstall over the Dutch international.

George Thomas (loan, from Leicester City to ADO Den Haag)

Without getting much game time at Leicester City, the British club saw it fit to let George Thomas leave and have loaned him to ADO Den Haag. The English side has confirmed the move, as Thomas didn’t have get much playing time. Due to this, the club decided that he could start a new loan with the aim of getting some game time and experience in other teams.

So far this season, the 22-year-old footballer played with the Under 21’s and Under 23’s, but did not get the chance to star with the first team.
