Blues keen on Arsenal’s winger, with Jose Mourinho set to bid £20m
Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the subject of interest from Chelsea, who are considering a £20m bid.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is set to land Monaco forward, and former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao, on a season-long loan deal.
Aside from the pending Falcao deal – Chelsea want to follow up the Colmbian signing with Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Chelsea contemplate deal for ‘the Ox’
Reports suggest that the 21-year-old is on the West-Londoners radar, but Chelsea are not intending to do swap deal with the Gunners for goalkeeper Petr Cech.
In recent seasons, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been hampered by injuries which has stalled his development, but he did make 47 appearances for his club and country last term.
Arsenal could be willing to part with the England international, in order to fund a deal to sign Chelsea stopper Cech, later this summer.
Cech, aged 32, is set to leave Stamford Bridge after eleven years, as he goes on the search for regular first-team football.
