Spain striker Paco Alcacer has revealed why he chose to stay with Valencia, rather than move to the Premier League this winter.
Speaking recently, Alcacer made it clear that he never thought about leaving his boyhood club.
“I’ve been coming to this stadium to watch the team since I was young and for me it’s a dream come true. I’m very proud to be at Valencia.”
Included in his new contract, which now runs until 2020, Alcacer’s release clause has increase from a rumoured £14m to £60m – the highest in Valencia’s history.
Commenting on this, Alcacer said:
“It’s satisfying to have that release clause and it’s an honour I’m wanted so much because I want to be here.”
