Arsenal and Manchester United believed to be interested
Paris St Germain forward Edinson Cavani has spoken of summer transfer interest in him from England.
Manchester United and Arsenal were reportedly keen on Uruguayan striker Cavani, however he decided to stay at the French giants.
Cavani Reveals Opportunities
“Many transfer opportunities presented themselves,” Cavani told French newspaper Journal du Dimanche.
“But PSG has always trusted me.
“This is the club who can give me what is better.
“If it could happen like in the second half of the season, with very good results that make me want to continue on this path.”
Cavani has enjoyed a good start to this campaign, with four goals in five Ligue 1 games, and PSG sitting top of the table.
This may well mean that if Cavani continues the good start, both the Gunners and the Red Devils may come back with offers, with both clubs seeking firepower reinforcements up front.
