Paulinho rubbishes Chelsea links

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Paulinho, has rubbished reports linking him with a shock Summer move to London-rivals Chelsea, just a year after moving to White Hart Lane.

The Brazilian international fell down the pecking order in the first-team after Andre Villas-Boas was sacked earlier this season, and was then linked with a shock move to Stamford Bridge, with some reports suggesting that it was close to being a done-deal.

Under Tim Sherwood, Paulinho was used as a bit-part player, but with the former-player now out of the picture at White Hart Lane, Paulinho is now set to stay at the club and has quickly rubbished reports linking him with a swift exit.

The Brazilian settled to English life pretty quickly, and managed to score eight goals for his new club, which is more than other big-Summer signing Roberto Soldado, and he has insisted that he has no regets about joining Spurs last year.

‘Absolutely not. I know how to handle my career and it’ll take more than just one bad moment before I reconsider my options,’ he told FourFourTwo.

‘We have all got responsibilities at Tottenham and we are ready to go through this.’
