Pep Guardiola has hailed Ederson’s ball playing ability following Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Wolves in the Premier League.

Gabriel Jesus continued his good form since the inception of the new year as he netted a brace while a Conor Coady own goal helped the defending champions moved into four points of league leader Liverpool.

Ederson showed some insane skills as he interchanged a string of passes with Illkay Gundogan and Fernandinho simultaneously in the middle of the pitch.

The Brazilian international is known for his acute passing range and once again proved why the former Barcelona manager was so keen to bring him at the Etihad stadium.

Guardiola seemed to be pretty happy with his passing ability. “I’m so pleased because he stays high [Ederson], the keeper has to defend our back four, in front with the long balls he’s perfect.

“Adama [Traore] is maybe the fastest player I’ve ever seen in my life. It was good, he makes a decision, maybe he must be more precise, but the ball is out, no problem. But if you handle the risk, it’s not easy.

“When he helps to do that, we play better, our build up is better, our midfielders get the ball in better conditions. Ederson, we love him the way he is, that’s why it’s not a problem.”
