Tottenham boss is unsure of adding any new player to their squad
Tottenham Hotspurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that the club will be starting their Premier League without any addition to their squad.
Liverpool who finished fourth last season has been seen spending heavily but Spurs have yet to add a player this year.
Pochettino wants the club to be more active in respect to other team in the transfer window.
The club was linked to players like Gareth Bale, Aston Villa star Jack Grealish and disgruntled Manchester United forward Anthony Martial but there was no confirm deal.
It talks with media reporter, the Tottenham Hotspur manager said,
“Last season I told you some numbers, but this season we don’t know,” he told reporters.
“I don’t know if we are going to sign [anyone] or not. We’re working on that. I cannot tell you if we’re going to sign one, zero or two or three or four. I think I am working and focused on trying to deliver my job, our job. I try to prepare the team” he added.
“That’s the focus and we’re concentrating on that.”
A few days ago the boss also said that he was not panicking over the early transfer deadline date, but wanted to take that as a challenge.
He said, “The Premier League transfer [deadline] day is so early when you compare it with the rest of Europe. It is not going to help a team like us but that is how they decided to work,”
Tottenham will kick-start their Premier League season on August 11 against Newcastle United.
