Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly been beaten in the race to sign Roma Striker Mattia Destro.
The striker had been rumoured to leave Roma with huge interest from top european clubs to secure his signature.
Sky Italia have claimed that Italian giants AC Milan have agreed to sign the stiker on a 6 month loan and will pay Roma £700,000 with a view to pay them£17million if they wish to sign the stiker on a permanent basis after the loan period.
It is felt that Milan, who came into the race late, have only signed Destro because they have lost Stephen El Shaaray to a broken foot and need an urgent replacement.
Both English clubs were thought to be admirers of the player and were apparently setting up £15million pound bids in order to get him to the Premier League.
