Paris Saint Germain have denied approaching Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen to join their club. Erikson has been linked with the French club and an offer in the region of £100m was in the offing it seemed.
The attacking midfielder has been a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and the Argentine is not going to let go of one of his prized assets. The North London giants had a fantastic start to the season having convincingly won their first two fixtures and they would like to keep it that way throughout the season.
Eriksen is considered to be one of the finest midfielders world football has ever seen and his consistent performance has helped Spurs immensely as they rea now regarded as a potential force in the Premier League.
PSG are owned by rich Qatari investors but recent FFP conduct has left them in a difficult position when it comes top conducting transfer business. However, The French club have sent an email to The Associated Press rejecting every claim. The mail read: “it categorically denies the transfer rumours regarding a potential transfer of Christian Eriksen” adding that the reports “seem to ignore the current reality of the transfer market.”
