PSG have reportedly made a £100 million bid for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen. Eriksen has not yet signed the new contract Tottenham have offered him and this fact has alarmed clubs.

PSG showed interest in the Dane even before the World Cup began. Spurs are eager to keep Eriksen at the club by offering him a new contract. Eriksen was impressive for them last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists in 46 matches across all competitions. The 26-year old found a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

Eriksen had a pretty decent World Cup with Denmark too. He assisted the team’s winner against Peru and scored one himself against Australia. Unfortunately, Eriksen saw his penalty being saved by Danijel Subasic in the shootout against Croatia in the last 16.

He has begun this season well too and was impressive in Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Newcastle at St. James’ Park. Eriksen still has another two years left on his contract. Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino made it clear that he doesn’t want to sell Eriksen unless they find a replacement for him.

Earlier, Real Madrid also targeted him in case Luka Modric leaves the club.
