The agent of Radamel Falcao has revealed that his client may leave the club permanently following the conclusion of his loan deal.

Falcao, aged 28, is on a season-long loan deal at Old Trafford from French side AS Monaco until the end of the current season, with his long-term future up in the air.

The Colombian international has made 12 appearances whilst at Louis Van Gaal’s side, netting three times during his stint at the Red Devils to date, with Falcao previously left out of the squad.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, has stated that Falcao will remain at a top European club next season, but didn’t detail which club.

‘I don’t know [where his future is],’ Mendes said.

‘He is a fantastic player, and I think it’s very difficult for Manchester United fans.

‘They have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.

‘The truth is, right now we don’t know what will happen. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.

‘I am 100 per cent sure of that. But you know how football works, we need to wait a little. We’ll see what happens.’
