Raul Jimenez Wants Permanent Stay At Molineux

Wolves on-loan striker, Raul Jimenez wants Nuno Espirito Santo to push for his permanent transfer at the end of the 2018/19 season.

The 27-year-old has been enjoying his time at the Molineux, scoring 5 and furthering 5 assists in 17 Premier League appearances.

“I want people to think I am someone they want to have here. But we have to wait and see what decisions they take. I don’t know (if I’m staying). I’m going to keep working and doing my job here. That decision does not belong to me. I feel good here, I’m fine, but that’s the decision of other people.”

Santo signed Raul on loan from Benfica in the summer despite bringing in Leo Bonatini from Al-Hilal on a permanent basis. The Mexican has been thrust into the starting number nine role and so far he has delivered as expected.

The Wanderers are coming off a dominant Championship season and are already making a statement in the English top-flight. The team is stacked with prominent European figures and are not shy at spending millions to get them.

Raul understandably might cost them ÂŁ30m as per their buy-back agreement but no decision has been finalised yet. Speaking to the press about his team, Raul said, “We feel amazing. We know that we have a great team to compete and we’ve done good things to be in this position. Maybe we can go up in the table.”

“I’m not surprised because we have been working towards that since pre-season, we’ve worked on our style, our game and I know we are much better now because of that.”
