Real Madrid struggled during the first half of the season in La Liga which saw them fall behind Barcelona in domestic terms. Despite reaching the Champions League final, Zinedine Zidane wants to bolster his squad this summer in order to challenge for the title next season.
La Liga giants are already heavily linked to superstars like Harry Kane, Mauro Icardi, Mohamed Salah and Robert Lewandowski. They are also willing to sell some players in order to raise funds.
Salah has been heavily linked with a move to Real after his brilliant displays for Liverpool on his debut season with them. But the Reds are keen to hold on to their star and Zinedine Zidane’s team are wary of their intention.
Real Madrid may go for Atletico Madrid’s forward Antoine Griezmann this summer if they fail to land the Egypt International.
Griezmann has been heavily linked with a move away this summer though Diego Simeone expressed his desire to keep him at the club beyond this season. Barcelona have been tipped as the favorites to land the Frenchman and according to reports they are also ready to pay his release clause of €100 million.
But Florentino Perez is ready to propose a way that could prevent the 27 year old to join Barcelona.
Diario Gol has reported that Real Madrid are looking to offer Dani Ceballos to Atletico in order to lower the transfer fee and make their rivals interested in a deal. They may well have to pay €50 million plus Ceballos for the star striker.
