Madrid keeping a close eye on Goalkeeper Alisson Becker
Real Madrid have been searching for a World Class Goalkeeper for a long time now to compete Keylor Navas. They have targeted Goalkeepers like David De Gea of Manchester United,Gianluigi Donnarumma of AC Milan and Thibaut Courtois of Chelsea but yet to find an option and still keeping an eye open for the right target.
Brazilian shot stopper Alisson has been spectacular for Roma this season and his displays in Serie A and the Champions League have brought him into Madrid’s focus.
It has been suggested that they will lodge an offer worth around £52.25m which would make Alisson by far the most expensive keeper ever, eclipsing the £34.7m paid by Manchester City for Ederson last year.
It has also been suggested that Madrid will hand the 25-year-old a five-year deal with an annual salary of £4.35m in a bid to blow Liverpool out of the water.
The shot stopper was recently asked about a possible move to Read Madrid and he replied-
“I’m happy for the interest of Real Madrid, although my thoughts are on Roma right now,” he told Globoesporte. “But it means that I’m doing my job well.”
It has been a meteoric rise for a goalkeeper who did not play a single game in Serie A last season before taking over as the undisputed No.1 this term.
